1 Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father's stead in Jerusalem. ወነሥእዎ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ምድር ፡ ለኢዮአካዝ ፡ ወልዱ ፡ ለኢዮስያስ ፡ ወቀብእዎ ፡ ወአቀምዎ ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ህየንተ ፡ አቡሁ ።
2 Jehoahaz was twenty and three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. ከዊኖ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ፳ወ፫ ፡ ዓመት ፡ አመ ፡ ያነግሥዎ ፡ ለኢዮአካዝ ፡ ወ፫ ፡ ወርኀ ፡ ነግሠ ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ። ወስማ ፡ ለእሙ ፡ አሚጣል ፡ ወለተ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ዘእምብሔረ ፡ ልቡና ። ወገብራ ፡ ለእኪት ፡ በቅድመ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ በከመ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘገብሩ ፡ አበዊሁ ። ወፄወዎ ፡ ወሞቅሖ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ኔካኡ ፡ ዘብሔረ ፡ ደብለታን ፡ በብሔረ ፡ ኤማት ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይንግሥ ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ፡
3 And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in an hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold. ወአብጽሖ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ግብጽ ። ወረሰየ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድር ፡ ጸባሕተ ፡ ፻ ፡ መካልየ ፡ ብሩር ፡ ወአሐተ ፡ መክሊተ ፡ ወርቅ ።
4 And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt. ወሤሞ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ኔካኡ ፡ ኢዮአቃብሃ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኢዮስያስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ህየንተ ፡ አቡሁ ። ወሜጠ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ስም ፡ ለኢዮኦቂም ፡ ዮዓቂብ ። ወለኢዮአካዝ ፡ እኁሁ ፡ ነሥኦ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ኔካኡ ፡ ወአብጽሖ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወበህየ ፡ ሞተ ። ወብሩረኒ ፡ ወወርቀ ፡ ወሀበዎ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ወእምአሜሃ ፡ አኀዘት ፡ ምድር ፡ ታግብእ ፡ ጸባሕተ ፡ ብሩር ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ፩፩ ፡ በኃሳበ ፡ ጥሪቱ ፡ ይሁብ ። ወአስተብኡ ፡ ወርቀ ፡ ወብሩረ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ምድር ፡ ከመ ፡ የሀብዎ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ኔካኡ ።
5 Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God. ከዊኖ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ፳ወ፭ ፡ ዓመት ፡ አመ ፡ ያነግሥዎ ፡ ለኢዮአቂም ፡ ፲ወ፩ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ነግሠ ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ። ወስማ ፡ ለእሙ ፡ ዘካራ ፡ ወለተ ፡ ኔርያስ ፡ ዘእምብሔረ ፡ ራማእ ። ወገብረ ፡ ለእኪት ፡ በቅድመ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ በከመ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘገብሩ ፡ አበዊሁ ። ወበመዋዕሊሁ ፡ መጽአ ፡ ናቡክድናጾር ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ይሁዳ ። ወነበረ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይትቀነይ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ፫ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ወተግኅሠ ፡ እምኔሁ ። ወፈነወ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ላዕሌሁ ፡ ከለዳዊያነ ፡ ወፈያተ ፡ ሰራዊያነ ፡ ወፈያተ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ሞአብ ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ዐሞን ፡ ወእለ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ሰማርያ ። ወርሕቁ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ዝኩ ፡ ቃል ፡ በከመ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ዘበእደዊሆሙ ፡ ለአግብርቲሁ ፡ ነቢያት ። ወባሕቱ ፡ መዐተ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ሀለወት ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያርኅቆ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ በእንተ ፡ አበሳሆሙ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘገብሩ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ደም ፡ ንጹሕ ፡ ዘተክዕወ ፡ በእደ ፡ ኢዮአቂም ፡ ወመልኣ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ደመ ፡ ንጹሐ ፡ ወኢፈቀደ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሠርዎሙ ።
6 Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon. ወዐርገ ፡ ላዕሌሁ ፡ ናቡክድናጾር ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወአሰሮ ፡ በመዋቅሕት ፡ ወወሰዶ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ባቢሎን ።
7 Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon. ወኵሎ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ወአንበሮሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ጣዖት ።
8 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead. ወእለ ፡ ተርፋ ፡ ቃላተ ፡ ኢዮአቂም ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ አኮኑ ፡ ጽሑፋን ፡ በመጽሐፈ ፡ ቃላት ፡ እለ ፡ በመዋዕሊሆሙ ፡ ለነገሥተ ፡ ይሁዳ ። ወኖመ ፡ ኢዮአቂም ፡ ምስለ ፡ አበዊሁ ፡ ወተቀብረ ፡ በብሔረ ፡ ጋኖዛን ፡ ምስለ ፡ አበዊሁ ። ወነግሠ ፡ ኢዬኮንያስ ፡ ወልዱ ፡ እምድኅሬሁ ።
9 Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD. ከዊኖ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ፲ወ፰ ፡ ዓመት ፡ አመ ፡ ያነግሥዎ ፡ ለኢዬኮንያስ ፡ ወ፫ ፡ ወርኀ ፡ ወዐሡረ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ነግሠ ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ። ወገብራ ፡ ለእኪት ፡ በቅድመ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ።
10 And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem. ወከዊኖ ፡ ዐመት ፡ ፈነወ ፡ ናቡክድናጾር ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ወነሥአ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ምስለ ፡ ንዋያት ፡ ዘመፍትው ፡ ዘሀሎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ። ወነግሠ ፡ ሴዴቅያስ ፡ እኁሁ ፡ ለኢዮአቂም ፡ አቡሁ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወኢየሩሳሌም ፡ እምድኅሬሁ ።
11 Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. ከዊኖ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ፳ወ፩ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ሴዴቅያስ ፡ አመ ፡ ያነግሥዎ ፡ ፲ወ፩ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ነግሠ ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ።
12 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the LORD. ወገብረ ፡ እኪተ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ። ወኢኀፈረ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለኤርሚያስ ፡ ነቢይ ፡ ወኢእምቃለ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡
13 And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the LORD God of Israel. ወኢእንዘ ፡ ለመንገለ ፡ ናቡክድናጾር ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ የዐሉ ፡ ዘአምሐሎ ፡ በስመ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ አምላኩ ፡ ወአጽንዐ ፡ ክሳዶ ፡ ወልቦኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይትመየጥ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ።
14 Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem. ወኵሎሙ ፡ ክቡራነ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወካህናትኒ ፡ ወአሕዛበ ፡ ምድር ፡ አብዝኁ ፡ ዐሊወ ፡ ዕልወተ ፡ ርኵሰ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወአርኰስዎ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ዘበኢየሩሳሌም ።
15 And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place: ወፈነወ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ በእደ ፡ ነቢያቲሁ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይገይስ ፡ ኀቤሆሙ ፡ ወእንዘ ፡ ይፌኑ ፡ ላእካኒሁ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይምሕክ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ ዚአሁ ፡ ወለቅድሳቲሁ ።
16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy. ወዐለዉ ፡ ይስሕቁ ፡ ወይሳለቁ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ላእካኒሁ ፡ ለእግዚኣብሔር ፡ ወይሜንኑ ፡ ቃላቲሁ ፡ ወይሳለቁ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ነቢያቲሁ ፡ እስከ ፡ በጽሐ ፡ መዐተ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ ዚአሁ ፡ እስከ ፡ ኢይከውን ፡ ፈውሰ ።
17 Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand. ወአምጽአ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ከለዴዎን ፡ ወቀተለ ፡ ወራዙቲሆሙ ፡ በሰይፍ ፡ በቤተ ፡ ቅድሳቲሆሙ ። ወኢምሕኮ ፡ ለሴዴቅያስ ፡ ንጉሦሙ ፡ ወለደናግሊሆሙ ፡ ኢመሐረ ፡ ወለአዕሩጊሆሙኒ ፡ ወሰዱ ፡ ብሔሮሙ ፡ ወለኵሎሙ ፡ መጠዎሙ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ በእደዊሆሙ ።
18 And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon. ወኵሎ ፡ ንዋያተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ዐቢየ ፡ ወንኡሰ ፡ ወመዛግብተ ፡ ዘቤተ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ወዘቤተ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ወመዛግብተ ፡ ዐበይተ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ወሰደ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ባቢሎን ።
19 And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof. ወአውዐየ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ በእሳት ፡ ወአንሐለ ፡ አረፋቲሃ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ወንዋየ ፡ ቅድሳቲሃ ፡ አማሰነ ፡
20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia: ወወሰደ ፡ እለ ፡ ተርፉ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወኮንዎ ፡ ለደቂቁ ፡ አግብርተ ፡ እስከ ፡ ንጉሦሙ ፡ ለሜዳዊያን ።
21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years. ከመ ፡ ይብጻሕ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ዘበአፉሁ ፡ ለኤርምያስ ፡ እስከ ፡ ትትወከፍ ፡ ምድር ፡ ሰናብተ ፡ ዚኣሃ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታሰንብት ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ፂዋዌሃ ፡ ሰንበታተ ፡ እስከ ፡ ይትፌጸም ፡ ፸ ፡ ዓመት ።
22 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, በቀዳማይ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ቂሮስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ በጽሐ ፡ ወተፈጸመ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ዘበአፉሁ ፡ ለኤርምያስ ፡ ነቢይ ፡ ወአንሥአ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ መንፈሶ ፡ ለቂሮስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ ወአዘዘ ፡ ይስብክ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በሐውርተ ፡ ንግሠ ፡ ዚኣሁ ፡ በመጻሕፍት ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይብል ፡
23 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up. ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ ቂሮስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወሀበኒ ፡ ወአሰለጠኒ ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወውእቱኒ ፡ አዘዘኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ እሕንጽ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ቤተ ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ፡ በብሔረ ፡ ይሁዳ ። መኑ ፡ እንከ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ዚኣሁ ፡ ዘይከውን ። ወይኩን ፡ እግዚኣብሔር ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ወይሖር ፡ ወይሕንጽ ።
