Now these are the children of the province that went up out of the captivity, of those which had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away unto Babylon, and came again unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his city;
በመንግሥተ ፡ ቂሮስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ አመ ፡ ቀዳሚ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ይበጽሕ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘነበበ ፡ በአፈ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡

Which came with Zerubbabel: Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mizpar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
ወአንሥአ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መንፈሰ ፡ ቂሮስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ ወሰበከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መንግሥቱ ፡ ወጸሐፈ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይብል ፡

The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.
ከመዝአ ፡ ይቤአ ፡ ቂሮስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ፋርስ ፤ ኪያየ ፡ አንገሠኒ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ እግዚአ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ልዑል ፡

The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.
ወአቅደመኒ ፡ ኪያየ ፡ አሕኒጸ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ቤተ ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ዘይሁዳ ።

The children of Arah, seven hundred seventy and five.
[እመቦ ፡ እምኔክሙ ፡ እምነ ፡ ]ሕዝቡ ፡ ወእግዚአብሔር ፡ የሀሉ ፡ ምስሌ[ሁ] ፡ ወ[ይዕ]ርግ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ዘይሁዳ ፡ ወ[ይሕ]ንጽ ፡ ለእግዚአ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ማኅደረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ።

ወኵልክሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ሀለውክሙ ፡ በበ ፡ በሓውርቲክሙ ፡ ርድእዎ ፡ በበ ፡ ደወልክሙ ፡ ወርቀ ፡ ወብሩረ ፡

The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.
ወአፍራሰ ፡ ወእንስሳ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘቦ ፡ ብፅዓት ፡ ወወስኩ ፡ አንትሙኒ ፡ ለቤተአ ፡ መቅደስአ ፡ ዘእግዚአብሔርአ ።

The children of Zattu, nine hundred forty and five.
ወይበጽሑ ፡ መሳፍንተ ፡ ነገዶሙ ፡ ለበሓውርተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወብንያምኒ ፡ (ወ)ሕዝብ(ኒ) ፡ ወካህናትኒ ፡ ወሌዋዊያንኒ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘአንሥአ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መንፈሶ ፡ ይዕርግ ፡ ወይሕንጽ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ።

The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and threescore.
ወእለኒ ፡ አድያሞሙ ፡ ይረድእዎሙ ፡ በኵሉ ፤ ወርቀ ፡ ወብሩረ ፤ አፍራሰ ፡ ወእንስሳ ፤ ወእለኒ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ ብፅዓተ ፡ ወዘኵሉ ፡ ዘፈቀደ ፡ ልቡ ።

The children of Bani, six hundred forty and two.
ወአውፅአ ፡ ቂሮስ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ቅድሳት ፡ ዘእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘአእተወ ፡ ናቡከደነጾር ፡ እምነ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ወሠርዖ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ አማልክቲሁ ።

ወሶበ ፡ አውፅአ ፡ ቂሮስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ አወፈዮ ፡ ለሚተረዳጤ ፡ ዐቃቢሁ ፤

The children of Azgad, a thousand two hundred twenty and two.
እምኀቤሁ ፡ ተመጠወ ፡ ሳምናስ ፡ ዘተሠይመ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ይሁዳ ።

The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and six.
ወከመዝ ፡ ኍልቁ ፤ መዋጽሕት ፡ ዘወርቅ ፡ ፲፻ ፤ መዋጽሕት ፡ ዘብሩር ፡ ፲፻ ፤ አጽሕልት ፡ ዘብሩር ፡ ፳ወ፱ ፤ ፍያላት ፡ ዘወርቅ ፡ ፴ወዘብሩር ፡ ፳፻ወ፬፻ወ፲ወባዕዳንሂ ፡ ቍስቋሳት ፡ (ዘስብኮ ፡ )፲፻ ።

The children of Bigvai, two thousand fifty and six.
ወኵሉ ፡ ንዋይ ፡ ዘተመጠወ ፡ ዘወርቅኒ ፡ ወዘብሩርኒ ፡ ድሙር ፡ ፶፻ወ፬፻ወ፷ወ፱ ፡

The children of Adin, four hundred fifty and four.
ዘወሰደ ፡ ሰምናሶር ፡ ምስለ ፡ ፄዋ ፡ እምነ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ አእተወ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ።

The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.
ወቦ ፡ እምውስቴቶሙ ፡ እለ ፡ አጽሐፎሙ ፡ አርጥርክስርክሴስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ በበደወሎሙ ፡ ለይሁዳኒ ፡ ወበኢየሩሳሌምኒ ፤ ቤልሞስ ፡ ወሚጠረዳጤ ፡ ወጤቤልዮስ ፡ ወራቲሞስ ፡ ወብሔልቢጢሞስ ፡ [ወሰሜልዮስ] ፡ ጸሓፊ ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ እምታሕተ ፡ እሉ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰማርያ ፡ ወእለኒ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ባዕድ ፡ በሓውርት ፡ ጸሐፉ ፡ መጽሐፈ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይብሉ ።

ለንጉሥአ ፡ ለአርጥርክስርክሴስአ ፡ ለእግዚኦሙአ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ አግብርቲከ ፡ ራቲሞስ ፡ ዘይሰግድ ፡ ለከ ፡ ወሰሜልዮስ ፡ ጸሓፊ ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ እምታሕቴሆሙ ፡ ወእለኒ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቄሌ ፡ ዘሶርያ ፡ ወፊንቄ ።

The children of Jorah, an hundred and twelve.
ወይእዜኒአ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታእምር ፡ እግዚኦሙ ፡ ንጉሥ ፤ ናሁ ፡ አይሁድ ፡ እለ ፡ ዐርጉ ፡ እምኀቤክሙ ፡ ኀቤነ ፡ ሖሩ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ሀገር ፡ እኪት ፡ ወዐላዊት ፡ የሐንጽዋ ፡ አረፋቲሃ ፡ ወምሥያጣቲሃኒ ፡ ወቤተኒ ፡ መቅደስ ፡ ያሐይዉ ።

The children of Hashum, two hundred twenty and three.
ወእምከመአ ፡ ተሐንጸት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ወኀልቀ ፡ አረፋቲሃ ፡ ኢያገብኡ ፡ እንከ ፡ ጸባሕተ ፡ ወዓዲ ፡ መንግሥተ ፡ ይትሀየዱ ።

ወይገብሩ ፡ ቤተ ፡ መቅደስ ፡ ወያሤንዩ ፤ ወይእዜኒ ፡ ኢትጸመም ፡ በበይነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፤

The children of Bethlehem, an hundred twenty and three.
ለአክ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ቂሮስ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይኅሥሡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መጻሕፍተ ፡ ነቢያት ፡ ዘአበዊከ ።

The men of Netophah, fifty and six.
ወትረክብ ፡ ጽሑፍ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ዐላዊተ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ ወሠቃዪተ ፡ አህጉር ፤

The men of Anathoth, an hundred twenty and eight.
ወአይሁድኒ ፡ ዐላዊያን ፡ ወከሓድያን ፡ እምፍጥረቶሙ ፡ ወበበይነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ተማሰነት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ሀገር ።

The children of Azmaveth, forty and two.
ወይእዜኒ ፡ እግዚኦሙ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ናበጽሕ ፡ ለከ ፡ ከመ ፡ እምከመ ፡ ተሐንጸት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ወቆማ ፡ አረፋቲሃ ፡ ኢያኀልፉክሙ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ቄሌ ፡ ዘሶርያአ ፡ ወፊንቂአ ።

The children of Kirjatharim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred and forty and three.
ወእምዝ ፡ ጸሐፈ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ለራቲሞስ ፡ ዘጸሐፈ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወለቤሔልሜተም ፡ ወለሰሜልዮስ ፡ ጸሓፊ ፡ ወለእለ ፡ ተርፉ ፡ እለ ፡ እምታሕቴሆሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰማርያ ፡ ወፊንቂ ፡ በከመ ፡ ጸሐፉ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትብል ፤

አንበብኩ ፡ መጽሐፈአ ፡ እንተአ ፡ ፈነውክሙ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ወአዘዝኩ ፡ ይትከሠቱ ፡ ወረከቡ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ሀገር ፡ እምፍጥረታ ፡ ዐላዊተ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ ይእቲ ፤

The men of Michmas, an hundred twenty and two.
ወሰብእኒ ፡ ከሓድያን ፡ ወቀቲል ፡ ግብሮሙ ፡ ወነገሥታኒ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ጽኑዓን ፡ ወእኩያን ፡ ወኰነኑ ፡ ቄሌ ፡ ዘሶርያ ፡ ወፊንቂኒ ፡ ወጸብሑ ፡ ሎሙ ።

The men of Bethel and Ai, two hundred twenty and three.
ወይእዜኒ ፡ ናሁ ፡ አዘዝኩ ፡ ይክልእዎሙ ፡ ለእሙንቱ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ሐኒጾታ ፡ ለይእቲ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይገብር ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ወኢምንተ ፡
29
The children of Nebo, fifty and two.
ከመ ፡ ኢታብዝኅ ፡ እኪተ ፡ በዘ ፡ ይሰርሑአ ፡ ነገሥትአ ።

The children of Magbish, an hundred fifty and six.
ወእምዝ ፡ ሶበ ፡ አንበብዋ ፡ ለይእቲ ፡ መጽሐፍ ፡ እንተ ፡ ጸሐፈ ፡ አርጥርክስርክሴስ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ራቲሞስ ፡ ወሰምልዮስ ፡ ጸሓፊ ፡ ወእለ ፡ እምታሕቴሆሙ ፡ አሮጹ ፡ አፍራሲሆሙ ፡ ጕጉአ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ምስለ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ወአኀዙ ፡ ይክልእዎሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ የሐንጹ ፤ ወተፀርዐ ፡ ሐኒጽ ፡ ዘቤተ ፡ መቅደስ ፡ ዘኢየሩሳሌም ፡ እስከ ፡ ካልእት ፡ ዓመተ ፡ መንግሥቱ ፡ ለዳርዮስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ፋርስ ።
